The Top 3 Strategies All Affiliate Marketers Need To Adopt To Survive Online And Product Review Tips

What are these three top tips and marketing tactics?

1. Product Reviews – Tactic One – The Detailed Product Review Structure

Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every affiliate product and nothing more. Always include affiliate product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the products can do for those who buy them.

As you read this article you may have written lots of product reviews on your websites, maybe more than me. I have wrote quite a few I can tell you in my time and whilst I can offer a product review structure, you may well have your own unique style which is great.

However, let me share with you briefly a suggested product review structure and I would be more than happy to hear from you on what you suggest as well.

A. The Introduction

Firstly, it is important to tell them what you are going to tell them, then tell them and then close out by telling them again what you shared in the product review.

In telling them what you are going to tell them, this is done in the introduction covering also what product or service you are going to review and why.

Before this introduction you will have a heading where the objective is to stick your readers eyes to the page and provide enough incentive for them to actually read the product review.

As you work through the writing of your review you will also be breaking up the text with appropriate headlines. Each headline should attract the readers enough to want to read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the review is all about and they will want to find out more. Include your affiliate or product link three of four times throughout the content.

Recently, I write a very full and detailed product review on the Digital Experts Academy and started out with a title… ”

A Digital Experts Academy Review from Mark Ford, former Mastermind Experience Liaison and founding member. Get the run down from an insiders perspective.”
Now, I am not saying that this is perfect by any means because it comes down to our own individual personality and style and getting that across.

However, agree or disagree, that’s fine because I would think the headline above sparks off enough interest to invite the reader to learn more. What do you think?

B. The Problem – We Start Here To Tell Them What We Have Said We Are Going To Tell Them!

Address the problem that the reader is having. After all they will have been searching online for solutions to the circumstances they find themselves under and because you used the appropriate keyword phrases they found your product review in Google.

Now they have found your review, they immediately want to know how you can help them with the product you are reviewing and how it solves their problem. Discuss the problems that the product helps to solve and how it can help them.

By way of an example, here is an extract from a review I wrote recently “In a world rocked with upheaval and uncertainty in recent times, getting a stable, well-paying job that also caters to your interests is increasingly becoming a pipe dream for many. All hope is not lost, though. There are plenty of opportunities online, with more than enough depth for millions of online entrepreneurs.

Whether you want to pursue the affiliate marketing route or you are interested in creating an e-commerce business, the choice is yours. And with the right knowledge, skills, and tools, the online business world can be your outlet and solution.”

Then I introduced the educational product and service that would assist them and went on to discuss what it would do for them.

C. Who is behind the product that you are reviewing.

Discuss the founders of the business, their mission, vision and values and why they created the product.

About the Company
About the founders
Who are they?
What do they do?
Why do they do what they do?
D. Discuss what the product that you are reviewing actually does.
Why should they purchase the product?

What will it do for them?

What are the benefits to their lifestyle, business or helping to change their circumstances.

Here avoid going into the features of the product. That comes later. Just mention the beneficial impact on their life and business by purchasing the product.

E. Discuss the product features and product description

Go into what they actually get for their money if they make the purchase.

What is included in each product level?

Include the affiliate resources the merchant company may have provided, such as banners, videos, product descriptions and any text.

You can also write articles highlighting the use of the product and include them on the website as an additional page or blog post. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information and link them back to the product review to learn more detail.

F. Product Testimonials and Success Stories

Also include testimonials and success stories from users who have already used the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on your affiliate website for the specific product you are marketing.

G. How Can They Sign Up?

Include information on how they can sign up and purchase the product or take out a membership.

H. The Cost?

Include information on how much it costs to purchase the product or take out a membership. Advise also that this is subject to change and that the latest price will be shown on the merchants website.

I. Bonuses

If they purchase through your affiliate link advise whether or not you are going to provide any bonus products to them. This is offered as a thank you and to add perceived value to the affiliate product purchased with you.

List your bonus products and the benefits and features. What will they help your customer do?

You could also consider making available a surprise bonus so when they sign up they get emailed a link to a surprise bonus product they can download, adding further value to what they already have.

J. Pros and Cons

Set out objectively what is in favour of a product purchase and what is against.

K. The Conclusion and Call To Action

Close out by telling them again what you shared in the product review and invite them to take action by calling them to action through posting your affiliate link.

An Example; “If you decide to move forward with this, then I look forward to seeing you in the Community where you can reach out to me for ongoing support and assistance. You would then post your affiliate link here.

L. The Sign Off

I would suggest that you don’t just leave your content hanging in the air. If you send an old style letter to anyone you would sign it off.

Include at the end some profile information about yourself, such as your name, who you are, what you do and your website link.

That concludes part 1 of the top three tips and marketing tactics affiliate marketers should adopt to survive. Now we move onto part 2.

2. Offer Free Reports/Videos/Webinars To Your Readers – Tactic Two

A top tip is to build a list of subscribers who you can follow up with through an autoresponder service. To do this you offer free reports (pdf’s), video courses, webinars or anything else you can creatively come up with that is relevant for your audience.

If possible position your free offers at the very top of your page, above the fold, so that the free offer simply cannot be missed.

Create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, it is well known that a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: close a sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified periods, you will remind them of the product they thought they wanted later and you can also build relationships with your subscribers and offer extra value through, for example blog posts and newsletters.

When making a product offer by email, remember to structure the email by introduction, the problem, the offer, benefits and how to get it.

Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product and do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dump this kind of content into the junk box before anyone reads them.

Advise those who signed up for your free reports what the compelling reasons are why they should avail themselves of your paid products and services.

That concludes part 2 of the top three tips and marketing tactics affiliate marketers should adopt to survive. Now we move onto part 3.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product – Tactic Three

Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back.

Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that are focusing on your target customers and what you have published might just grab their interest.

Now over at my main blog I write and publish articles daily on all things home business related. I appreciate that this may not be for you and that you just do not have the quality of time to do this.

In that case, try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 500-1000 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can potentially generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.

Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above do not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action and implementation plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You could end up building a very valuable asset which is your list of subscribers, maintain relationships with them and by helping them achieve their goals you will achieve yours. Not only that, working diligently to generate a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.

I have enjoyed writing this up for you and I hope you have found it useful in some way for your own online business and life journey.
